Cannot program new key/remote fob

Cannot program new key/remote fob
I have tried an umpteenth amount of methods to program a replacement remote that has the same model number, frequency, FCC ID, and IC.
Nothing has worked.
I also have A3 remote that does not have matching information just for ****s and giggles. Nothing has worked either.
Right now I currently have a valet key, 1 working remote, and one remote that does not work at all (and a second non-working remote but I don't think that will work because of the frequency difference).
(And I am talking about programming the lock/unlock functions, not referring to the the immobilizer chip or RFID chip.)

If you are trying to program the key fob so that it will lock and unlock your doors as well as start your car, then you have to take it to the dealer.
If you bought the key fobs off ebay instead of Audi, there is a 50/50 chance that they will not work at all
If you are just trying to program it so that 2 different keys will set the drivers seat, mirrors, ventilation system, etc, different for each key, you have to use the "set" button next to the '1' and '2' buttons on the driver side door. If you don't have those, you don't have that functionality.
If none of this was what you were talking about, please explain your question better.

I have heard time and again that I can get the remote functions to work without going to the dealer.
I am going to use a vag com possibly this weekend but I can't seem to program the remote to simply lock/unlock the vehicle.

I had a key that suddenly stopped working and I tried every possible method involving unlocking from outside/turning ignition on, etc to re-program, but none of them worked (one of them I did see the light flash, but could never repeat it and it did nothing). I confirmed that the car recognizes it was receiving a signal because I can hear a ever so slight clicking sound in the trunk, by the gas spout area whenever I press the remote.

LOL, the way to program a key is to have a working key in the ignition and pressing a sequence of buttons, door locks, etc. But it does not apply to this model.
