Default First Service

A few weeks ago I posted that my dealer wouldn't perform the first service on my 2006 A3, because even though it was six months old it only had 2,400 miles on it. He said that if it didn't have 5,000 miles on it, it had to be 9 months old before Audi would pay for the first service. He said he would send me something in writing to back that up.

Well after a week I hadn't received anything, so I contacted Audi Customer Service.

Initially the woman on the phone told me yet a different story, that the first service was scheduled for one year or 5,000 miles, whichever came first. After considerable discussion/argument, I convinced her to double-check what she was telling me. (During one part of this, she requested that I fax her the page from which I was quoting the published 6-month/5,000 mile service interval. I had to explain that it was the official service book for the 2006 A3, North American edition, given to me by the dealer when I bought the car, i.e. their own publication, and that they probably already had one of these there somewhere!)

After checking, she came back and said that the book was correct, and that the dealer should do the service on my car now, at six months. She asked which dealer it was, and then offered to put me on hold and call them about it. She did that, came back and said everything was all set, I should just call in and set up an appointment.

So, I got the service done last week.

You would think that "5,000 miles or six months, whichever comes first" wouldn't be that complicated.

https://forums.audiworld.com/a3/msgs/85379.phtml</a

Default Sounds about right.

I've asked the dealer four times to set the coolant at the proper amount. They have yet to do it. AoA said they talked to the dealer about it for me. Still no change. They refuse to lower it from above the max mark. Total f'ing morons. The best part about it is the service "advisor" talks down to me like I don't know chit about cars. Laughable. I think next time I'm in there I'll punch her in the side of the neck.

Default speaking of which....

Is the 5K service performed by:
1) The dealership who took delivery of the car

OR

2) The dealership who sold the car?

Stevens Creek took delivery of my car initially. However, due to an inter-dealership trade, Livermore Audi sold the car to me.

So, who should I call?
1) AoA
2) Stevens Creek
3) Livermore
4) All of the above
5) Someone who gives a ****
