Default Heated Side Mirrors - Retrofit Possible?

I have the heated seats, not the the complete cold-weather package.

Is any retrofit possible to add heated side mirrors after the fact?

Absolutely! When I upgraded my mirrors to the aspherical ones (blindspot mirrors, I was surprised to find that the passenger side one is already heated. The mirror housings are already prewired and only require mirrors with heated elements to function. IIRC, the heated mirrors will activate automatically upon switching on the rear window defroster.

Default not entirely true

Yes --> retrofit is easy.

Yes --> your car is already pre-wired and you just need to "plug in" a set of heated mirrors.

No --> heated mirrors are actually ALWAYS ON and being heated if your side view mirror adjustment **** is kept in the middle position.

The heated mirrors don't heat when the rear defroster is on. They heat when the mirror adjustment dial is set to the center. They even have a graphic in the center position for that.

I'll have to look at the manual, but in the middle position with a forward push...then the mirrors heated for a few minutes. If you needed another heat cycle, then you'd push the joystick mirror control forward again.

Rinse repeat until mirrors are clear or dry.
