I got bored so I did the PCV fix trick...

1st- Digitalhippie rules!!! Ryan or Len relay my shout out to DH on the 'tude...I'm not a member but enjoy lurking, thanks.

2nd- I followed Placenta's diagram except I used 3/4" I.D. heater hose.

I don't have a boost gauge but my car feels stronger according to butt dyno plus my neck is snapping back a little more than usual when I get into the 3 heavy.

I like your improved version although it does tick the fix up to $50. Question(s)?

I noticed you have concerns about the degradation of the blue hose from oil. Why didn't you go with the black hoses from FM...they're anodized + look better, IMHO? Does your engine cover fit OK? In time, I will probably try your improved version but with the black hoses. Thanks for the write-up, Len. Saving infooooo............now. :)

Re: I like your improved version although it does tick the fix up to $50. Question(s)?

For the *reducing* elbows, the black ones and the blue ones from Forge were identical in composition except for the colour. The black ones were backordered. For now, it's under the engine cover so you don't see it anyway. I may decide to go with more blue silicon in the future..... or not.... I can decide later.

It fits fine under the cover as it is sized now. When I finally lose the cover and get an intake, I'll trim the upper hose slightly to make it square up a bit.

Black hoses are not anodized. Where did you get that idea?

I'd agree with Len regarding the potential oil degradation of the hoses, considering I brought it up when Rub-ish first got the forge kit ;-). Not a good idea to run that for an extended period of time IMO. There are somewhat substantial amounts of oil going through that hose. Also, the oil will coat the hose surfaces, thus exposing the hose to oil constantly.

$50 for that kit? Just get the OEM solution IMO.

The reason I asked about the color of the hose making a difference is because...

when I went to the FM website and clicked to order the blue hose...the description on the bottom of the item is [blue]. When I clicked to order the black hose...the description on the bottom of the item is [anodized].
