Default New Remus exhaust Installed!

Remus is headquartered about 20 minutes from my home and headed over in the morning to pick out my new exhaust. They have different finishing tip options and the price is right. And the sound is supposed to be pretty mellow compared to others on the market. Remus is also highly regarded in Europe so I'm going to give them a try.

I'll pick out a system and have it installed by a Remus authorized installer right afterwards.

This is going to be fun but I'm still a little worried that the system will be too loud and drone on the freeway like APR's tend to do.

I'll keep everyone posted and if you have any questions, let me know. I'll also take some pics to post.

Stay tuned

Update 1

The exhaust has been installed and it sounds great. Very subtle at idle and has a nice growl in the midrange. You can really hear it under load. On the freeway home I experienced no booming at all.

So far so good. I'll post pics and additional observations soon

Default Update: Photos of Remus Install

Hi All,

So it's been about 3 weeks and I'm loving the Remus setup. It's never too loud and no droning on the freeway. You do hear it in the midrange and up, it pulls a little stronger and definitely revs quicker.

2: Various tip options
3: Dual or single oval? Hmmm
4: 3 options I've narrowed it down to. I chose the dual tips to maintain a semi stock appearance

Sweet ...where are the completed pics?
Nice to know there is no drone in a 5 door from the Remus exhaust.

Default Update 2: Photos of Remus Install

Hi All,

I finally took a few photos of the Remus install. Note that I chose the dual tips to retain a semi stock look, at least to the casual eye. I'm thinking about installing the oval tip next.

Also, I may have the main exhaust cut back about an inch so the tips sit back further under the bumper.

Details details.....
