The Green Police indeed.
Assuming this is all true, I'm guessing a lot of owners are going to be upset with the reduced performance the recall may lead to.

With this problem, they will readjust their thinking and will go back to serve us better. Hope they will get the new A6 avant into states in the future.
Oh and do not forget that you will be able to by A3 TDI very cheap now.

I just bought an Audi S3 (not diesel), but I am a little disappointed with this.
My car has 700 miles, and I didn't want to be part of said scandal.
I am concerned about my warranty, actual performance of the car in the given case that there is an upgrade that must be done, or a global change of software, and more importantly, the resale value of the car.
Is there anyone else concern? or am I the only one?
I would like to contact the Dealership for a possible buyback, but I am not sure if this is too much.

If you don't have a 2.0TDI, don't worry about it. This only affects the A3 with diesel engines. Your warranty is perfectly safe - VAG is not going to go out of business. Also, no emission updates will be needed for VW or Audi gas engines. While short term resale values of all Audis may be somewhat affected due to the press hoopla, once time passes and people realize that 95% of all Audis in the U.S. are not part of any emissions issue, the values will stabilize back. So, a buyback makes no sense for your S3. Relax and enjoy your car.
