replacing exterior door molding on 2015 Audi A3
 

I recently discovered the chrome molding around the top of the rear passenger door of my 2015 Audi A3 1.8 TFSI Premium 4dr Sedan was missing. I have no idea how it came off.

I ordered the replacement part from ebay here:

It looks like the right part:

I'm not sure how to install it. The door has this rubber V that it looks like the molding should slide onto:

The part has these bend on each end that mean that it's impossible to slide on:

Any suggestions on how to install this would be much appreciated.

Hello, sorry this is years later. But any chance you happen to know the part # for this? I have the same issue and I've tried searching everywhere online and cannot find it.

AUDI OEM 15-18 A3 Exterior-Rear-Frame Molding Left 8V5839643C2ZZ

I honestly can't remember if I ever got this installed. I paid $70 for that part. I sold the car not long after that.
