running ipod cable out of the glove compartment...
i'd like to place my ipod in the cupholder (the one that replaces the cardholder on the dash). if i close the glove compartment, the latch will pinch the cable and the cable will eventually be shredded.
i know some people run the cable down to the spot where the passenger side center console meets the carpet, but that would require the removal of the head unit to gain access in the back in order to fish the cable down there. does anyone know how to run the ipod cable out of the glove compartment without having to remove the head unit? thanks! |
I ran mine out the back and down........
my ipod is free hand, so the cable comes out of back of glove box down near the pass side footwell net

how did you feed/fish the cable from the back of the glove box down to the passenger side footwell?

yes
I ran the cable out the back of the glove on the top left hand side you can get it out. then, I fished it up to the center (right side) dash vent to the Proclip Ipod holder. but theres lots of room back there. lots of little pathways.

just sorta pushed it in and down....try it, you'll see

If all else fails, use a drill and bore a hole finished off with a rubber grommit
That way you can run the wire exactly as you wish it and it'll be anchored to prevent unwanted shifting around.
