These Bi-Xenon Headlights with Adaptive LIghting Rock!
It is great to be able to see in the dark.

I agree...and I've noticed I've been getting more high beam flashing b/c they think mine are on.
|
I'm still trying to figure if I like the lights moving around corners....
|
Xenon Headlights are great until one of them fails and Audi misdiagnoses the cause.

Park your car front of a wall and turn the steering wheel
You can see light pattern change. It's not very dramatic, but it is noticable.
|
I misread your post. Sorry.
|
yeah used to get that quite a bit....
lowered the beam angle... now it's only the old people with poor eyesight flash. (They shouldn't be on the road in the first place!!)

I didn't get a response to my post about 'lethargic' dimming - anyone else have this?
When I dim the lights from high-to-low, the driver's side stays on high for 1-2 secs. longer and then dims. Car's got to go in soon for the 15k service - but I'm not running the highs as much because of it.
I assume they'll replace the whole unit - it's probably unlikely that the 'eyelid', if you will, needs lubrication. After all, everything these days seems to be sealed from the factory. I wonder if there is such a thing as an oil can in an Audi tech's toolbox anymore... |
I wish I could turn the adaptive feature off from time to time. In and around the city I just don't
need the headlights always going left and right. But when I go visit the inlaws and there are no street lights and plenty of corners then perfect.

I can't drive in a straight line anymore. I love to watch them weave.
