I am about to purchase a 2015 A3 2.0 Premium Plus. I love the idea of the convenience package: the LED door handles, map lights, cup holder, footwell, dimming rearview mirror with compass, extra 12V in the trunk and back seats, etc.

Can anyone better describe them? For me the best part is the dimmable rearview mirror and compass, but as far as the other features, I'm sort of meh. I am hoping people really like the features making it an awesome option to add.

Do these lights come on as nighttime approaches? Can you control them, off and on and/or are they dimmable? Is it the interior door handle that lights up, or is it the outside door handles or both?

I love the idea of some nighttime ambiance lighting, but since in Seattle right now the sun sets about 8:00, it's too light out for me to tell what these interior lights are really going to do in the dark!
