Default 2016 Audi S3 time to Mod!!!

So I finally got my 2016 S3 delivered a few weeks back. I really enjoy it to say the least. I'm look for all the fun toys to add to give it more power and performance WITHOUT changing the stock look too much. I want to keep it normal looking.

Mods so far...

NEUSPEED Power Module
NEUSPEED Race Series Cold Air Intake

Thinking about a Milltek exhaust...

Thoughts? Suggestions?

forget that junk.

here is what you really need

1 Downpipe (any reputable brand)
United Motorsports Stage 2 ECU chip (engine stage 2 390hp)
United Motorsports Stage 2 TCU chip (tranny stage 2)

good to go. sleeper all day. stock exhaust all days.

"Sleeper all day." Sounds fun. Are you running this set up yourself?

Well I can tell you the Neuspeed mods are very fun. What is a VIM unlock?

Congrats on the new acquisition! If you're considering exhaust/intake/suspension, I'm here for questions.

Thanks actually I do have a question. I was told a full turbo back exhaust (Milltek) is not legal because it will not pas CA smog. Also Audi dealer will freak out and void everything if I have problems with my car. But a cat back is fine, while not adding as much HP, it will not have those other problems.

Essentially, what you have been told is correct. When speaking in terms of exhausts, anything outside of the realms of a downpipe-back (i.e. catback system) tends to give dealerships probable cause to throw red flags when/if issues arise and you're attempting to get it covered under warranty.

In terms of our SwitchPath™ system... the downpipe-back provides max gains of 8 hp, and is doubled with the addition of the Performance Downpipe.

That system looks great. I would do your full system in 2 seconds I'm just not ready to do the cat and mouse game with smog and dealer yet if I need to service it.

Thank you!

You have the option to obtain one, the other, or both of them together (SwitchPath™ + DP). Packages save some coin, as could likely be assumed. But for instance, if you wanted the DP later, it could be obtained at the package price within one year of purchase. Our SwitchPath™ Exhaust, as with any of our other downpipe-back systems, doesn't affect emissions equipment.
