Yeah, the dealer's order status doesn't differentiate between a sale and port hold.

Turned in my 2017 today (buy back --lemon law) and waiting on a 2018 replacement that is being held up in Benicia. Talked to the Sales Manager at Marin and he told me still no word. Same thing from the rep at AoA.

I bought myself a 2018 RS3 for Christmas last year as it was supposed to be available January 3rd, 2018. Dealer told me it was stuck at port on January 16th. I find out yesterday it’s stuck at port waiting for a software update. Software is not available until March 13th, dealer claims I should take delivery March 20th (same source that claimed January 3rd) Maybe all 18’s got stopped for this? I would assume it’s emissions related. There’s full LED light at the end of the tunnel... I can’t wait to see it in all its nardo glory.

Default 2018 RS3 port hold!

I ordered my 2018 RS3 on Sept 11 2017 and on January 31st 2018 I was told there was a port hold on my car in houston. It is now almost March. Anyone have any new updates? I'm starting to get very discouraged.

No updates. Only rumors. Only consistent rumor is mid march / early april.

I ordered July. Car has been at port since December. Sold my RS5 at the end of November. So yeah, driving my wife's civic whenever needed for 3+ months = not fun.

I gave up waiting on the port stop and cancelled my order. My order was placed Sept, delivery was supposed to be January. I got too annoyed at the lack of communication (read: respect) by Audi etc. But I do love their cars, so I couldn't find a different brand I wanted. I honestly wish I didn't. Instead on a whim (by chance?) I found a 2018 RS3 within train distance, with the exact specs I wanted, and immediately took that instead. The disadvantage is to the original dealer mostly...but its not my fault that no one communicates properly. The RS3 is an amazing car, and I am very happy with it so far...but definitely bitter on the customer service of the brand.

Daytona Gray, Black Optics, Dynamic Package, Tech Package, RS Package, Carbon Inlays.
Not too fancy, options wise, but just my taste. I enjoyed a 5 hour drive home from the dealer, and it was worth it!

I ordered my RS3 in June 2017, then re-ordered in October after it showed up with the wrong packages (the dealership made the error). When I asked for updates after missing each ETA I was given, they told me to contact the port. Beyond frustrating. And to think they originally expected me to pay $10k over MSRP.
