A4/S4 feels like a big heavy boat compared to M2/RS3. But opinions are like aresholes, everyone has one. haha. You definitely should test drive both if you can. I never could get a M2 for test drive, but you can see if they will let drive a m235i, should get an approximation of atleast how the chasis handles and what the interior is like.

i find that the mag suspension comfort vs dynamic really only changes the soft bump and rebound settings in the dampers. You can feel the car leans a lot more in comfort mode when you throw the car into the corner hard.
But it doesn't have much of a difference in fast bump/rebound control. So from a bump handling perspective, there is not much difference between the 2.

From my own personal experience, going from oem pirelli to MPS4S has actually made a noticeable difference in ride comfort. Michellins have nice beefy side wall compared to the oem pirellis.

The salesman will prepare both RS3s for me in case I decide to make a purchase tomorrow. I understand the rarity of the RS3 so the price may not change as much as I’d like but I’m going to try anyways. I test drive the S4 before and I quite like it but it’s seems to be a boat compared to the RS3. I will keep this post updated on what will go on tomorrow! Thanks so much for the replies guys!!

It will be interesting to read what your final decision is.

I understand. I just came back from a 3-week vacation driving a 2019 M2 Competition for over 3000 KM and I would not buy that car as a daily driver. It may be a different story on the track but now back home and my S5 SB still puts a smile on my face. I found too many issues in the M2 for my taste. The interior has annoying ergonomic issues. I had to pull my right elbow way back behind the seat in order for my hand to land on the iDrive control **** and some of the button labels around the **** are obstructed by the **** itself. In the S5 SB, my hand naturally flows from the steering wheel to the shifter or MMI wheel or volume control button. Also, the M2 DCT was a pain a low speed maneuvers such as parking in tight spots, the car was either not moving at all or moving too fast. It does shift a bit faster than the S5 8-speed auto but that's not enough to make it a nice car to drive all the time. And if you get the S5 sport package, you get such a nice range of adaptive suspension, the difference between comfort and dynamic is really appreciated.

You know we're going to need a photo to verify that.
Congrats!

Particular reason to change to the s5 vs the rs3?

I did see on the showroom floor an RS5 sedan or maybe it's called a Sportback .

Anyway since it was right there really close to our RS3 we walked over and checked it out.
To both of us it was a much larger size car.
I wanted a small sedan so that's why I'm mentioning the RS5 and it's size.
Also the window-sticker was $95,000.00 US Dollars Plus.
Versus the RS3 at $65,000.00 US Dollars I ordered.

Congrats on your New Machine.
Enjoy buddy ............
