Default A3/S3 - what's up with the plastic "box" in trunk?
On the passenger side of the trunk, there is a small cargo space with a door and inside, there is an oddly shaped plastic "frame/box". What the heck is this all about? My S3 that I just picked up yesterday has it, with nothing in it, and so did another A3 on the floor. Didn't see anything about it in the manual...

I think that compartment is suppose to hold the First Aid Kit.

It's for the roadside assistance kit. Triangle, flares, vest etc. In the trunk with the spare for when you most likely need it.

There is a similar spot in my A6. I keep my portable 12-V air compressor in it.
