Default All doors unlock shifting into park - 2016 A3

I have a 2016 A3, and I find this new "feature" really annoying. Why do all 4 doors unlock immediately when shifting the car into park?

Does anyone know how to change this?

You can go under the MMI car settings, and change what gets unlocked when you put it into park.

FWIW, to get around the doors locking at all while in traffic, I've gotten into the habit when, for example waiting for the train to pass, to leave it in drive, and put on the ebrake. Simply pressing the accelerator will dis-engage it.

The only setting I see related to this is for the unlocking of all doors or just the driver door with either the fob or by pulling the handle. I don't see anything related to the park issue in my MMI.

Yes, I would change that right away. Particularly unsafe when stopping in a crowd of zombies.

I'd like to know too. I just picked up a 2016 A3 and while there's an option to lock the doors when drive there's no option to keep the doors locked when you shift into park.

I don't see that option in my MMI setting. I have a 2016 S3.

Default I only found a choice to only unlock drivers door rather than all

I also find it unsafe and annoyingthat in park the doors unlock , I went into the menu , under vehicle then press the menu within this option and schroll down to locking and the only choices are all or drivers door , so at least only one door unlocks. Its a horrible feature and I am going to complain to Audi because it makes me think when I am ready for another car if i really want an audi sadly
