By now some would think I'm on the verge of jumping Audi's ship but I'm not...... not yet anyway : )
I saw a piece on Car and Driver about the upcoming AMG A35 sedan that would seem to clearly be facing off with the S3.

Rumored starting price to be around US$45,000

Maybe more interesting are the more powerful variants coming later (CLA45) with much more powerful engines, etc. Hmmmm

Yep, pick your flavor! Merc is more blingy on the inside and a bit more swank on the outside, but I personally prefer Audi's more restrained look.

Agreed. That is one of the things I have always loved about Audi, the understated looks and performance (with exception of the R8). Audi vehicles are more or less sleepers when compared to some of their more extroverted competitors.
