12V power source
Is the cigarette lighter socket in front of the cup holder the only 12V power source in the car? Are there any others that I may have missed? I'm installing the mini flashlight and don't want it to occupy the only 12V socket in the car. Thanks.

My ‘18 s3 sedan only has one 12v power source - the one in front of the cup holders. References to another in the trunk i think are part of options available in certain markets. Bummer, i know. I looked for it for about a half hour!

That is a really big disappointment. I was hoping there is a hidden one somewhere like in most BMW's passenger footwell that I hadn't found. I would expected at least another one in the rear center console. The owner's manual is really no help as it's a generic one that stated 3 12V power sources in the car, which is why I asked here. Thanks everyone for your confirmation.
So, I went from a 2004 X5 that have 5 12V outlets (6 if you include the flashlight charger in the glove box that you can convert to a 12V source) to this 2018 S3 with 1!

the trunk cig lighter has certainly come in handy in my s3. i think its the convenience package that includes them.
might even be worth retrofitting it yourself. i know kits can be found cheap on amazon

Ditto but I'm assuming it's because I have the RS Design Package which gives you the 12v outlet in the trunk (along with the extra 2 USB ports on the back on the center console). Yes, I'm back and I have a **LOT** to tell and pictures and videos to show.
However right before I went out of town my 80+ year parents were T-boned in a car accident, my niece had a miscarriage, my brother-in-law has congestive heart failure (sounds like some weird country song, doesn't it?) and I had to leave town to pick up the car. So I have a lot on my plate right now but overall the experience was fantastic and I say more in a few days.
