The ECS Billet Aluminum Boost Taps conveniently adds boost/vacuum ports to your Gen3 engine for any of your specific needs.

Through multiple design revisions and product testing, our team of engineers found that certain methods of acquiring a boost signal,(such as stacking the MAP/IAT sensors) lead to skewed data being transmitted to the ECU.

Engineered specifically for the Gen3 engine, we designed our Throttle Body Boost Tap with 2 ports and our Manifold Port Boost Tap with 3 ports, so you have multiple options to provide the strongest manifold signal.

Sounds cool, but I'm an idiot of sorts, what does this do for my S3? I understand that the ECU get's more accurate data, but to what does that translate?

Thanks!

This will allow you to run a mechanical boost gauge. Yes the ECU pulls its own numbers but unless you have something like VCDS hooked up constantly you wont be able to monitor it.

These taps allow you to have a constant source of boost/vacuum which can be hooked up to a gauge inside the cabin of the vehicle. This way you always can keep tabs on the performance of your vehicle. It can also help identify if you ever have any leaks as it will show lower than normal readings.
