Hello everyone,
On my 2017 S3 with the premium plus package, I can open the windows, not the sun roof, by presing and holding the unlock button; but the sun roof will not open, nor can I close any of them by holding the lock button. I lookd around with vcds but can't seem to find the feature to enable or disable any of these features. any pointers?

Carista app and an ODBII connector will let you change that.

The auto open closing function for windows and sunroof can be activated/deactivated in the MMI for convenience key and requires a long press on open/close buttons when activated. My 2017 S3 Canadian spec vehicle allows this function....US models for safety reasons may not allow this?

I'm aware of that, but in my mmi, there is only the setting for opening the windows, not closing them, and nothing for the sunroof

My Lexus has the same issue. The features are there in both my Lexus and Audi under the Carsita app, but the closing feature is hard-disabled for the key fob. If you want to close everything, you use the physical key in the driver's door lock and hold it in the locked position until everything is done closing.

If I recall, all my windows AND moonroof open and close using the key fob (open only) and physical key (open and close I think). Let me know if you want me to test it (or maybe I can video it).

As I stated before my Canadian 2017 S3 with convenience/advanced key function allows sunroof and all windows to be enabled/disabled via the MMI. I checked the US build site and your car comes with advanced key. Try enabling all on the MMI and then use a LONG press on the open button and all widows will open along with the sunroof and long press for close button. I disabled that function, as I do not like the fact I might leave the sunroof in a partially open position, as we get a lot of rain in Vancouver.
