Default Help, How do you turn-on the Sport Exhaust on the RS 3 ???

Guys,

I know the Header/Title looks a little shaky.

Here is exactly what I really wish to know.
2018 RS 3 with the Dynamic Package and the Sport Exhaust Options.
How do you (Activate) the Sports Exhaust from "Closed to Open" ???
I have Searched this site and another Audi only site and cannot actually find how you Open and Close the mechanical flaps from Closed to Open/Sport.
I have even watched again a great many YouTube videos and even in the most detailed walk around not one person actually showed how you Open and Close the Sports Exhaust.

I'm sure it's a simple matter but so far as I have said above not one person has actually showed what they were doing.
I am thinking it is set on the Center Dash Pop-Up Screen under possibly the individual settings screen ???

If you would be so kind as to show a few pictures it would greatly be appreciated.

On the 2018 TT RS Coupe it has an individual Btn that you simply push.
Located on the Left Front Side of the Center Console in front of the shifter.
In video below at (Position 14.26 seconds) you can see it very clearly.

Below is a picture of the Sports Exhaust Button on Center Console.

It does not have that button (even a45 amg has that button.....)
So you only can control it with the dynamic select program.....

Or, pull the gear selector lever down when in D to move it to S.

I don't think you can do it in VCDS. I've looked and looked and can't find where to change it. I'd be interested how to do it if you know.

Okay guys,

I have read what you have said so far above in your postings.

So, how about one of you that just loves taking pictures or even better yet videos do one or both showing exactly (Step-by-Step) what you do.
Seriously a buddy and myself a day or so ago were discussing how the heck do you Turn On & Off the Sports Exhaust Flaps ???
I said I'm almost positive there is a Button that controls that function on the 2018 TT RS located on the Center-Console.
Sure enough as I went back looking at many Walk-Around-Detailed videos I found exactly that.

But, no one in any video actually showed how you do it in the RS-3 cars.
Neither of us has the RS-3 or TT RS ............ yet.
Nor does any dealer near either one of us has the RS-3 in stock so we could simply drive over and get a Demo on it in person.
He lives in San Antonio, TX. and I'm in Nashville, TN. USA

I think personally it seems that Audi has perhaps made the use of the sports Exhaust more Complicated than really necessary on the RS-3.
Seems it would been just as "Simple" to have had a Button just like on the TT RS to control that function.

Thanks guys,
Terry

Start car
Move gear selector into D/S
NOTE: Gear selected shown in dash "D1"
Pull gear selector back towards arm rest
NOTE: Gear selected shown in dash "S1"
Flaps are now open

i researched further. i guess there is no vcds code to keep them open. you can disconnect them but then it will throw an error code. threre are some aftermarket exhausts that comes with a switch to open and shut them. i believe AWE tuning sells one.

There is no dedicated button for RS3 to open flaps of exhaust. You have to activate exhaust flaps using Drive Select setting in MMI.
Dynamic mode = exhaust flap open.
Or use individual mode, and set engine sound to "Dynamic"

See 0:45 sec in this video.

Or as dazed1 said, you can just put the transmission in S mode regardless of Drive select mode, and it will open the exhaust as well.
