very cool! But before I jump in I was wondering: could Audi or Apple release a software update that would make this mod stop working?0_o

also, is this only for MMI equipped vehicles? Will this not work with just the standard screen equipment?

Yeahh The problem is when I'm moving, the video stops playing!!!!

Now I need to know how to unlock the protection an activate the Video in motion. (Vagcom)

Do you recomend me any good tutorial or steps to enable the VIM?

Just follow VCDS MMI Instructions that can by found by googling for your vehicle plus VIM VCDS or VAGCOM unlock.

Nope, your gen MMI works but our gen doesn't work with the VIM unlock process through VAG - yet

Quick review to save you from searching (but would it kill ya?

- 2015-2016 A3/S3/Q3 use the new MMI and VIM (Video in Motion - viewing while driving) unlocks from for previous generations don't work. Some third party companies have solutions, but seem to have some issues, expensive and can be reversed by the dealer during a service accidentally.

- VAGCOM cannot, yet to my knowledge, unlock VIM for A3/S3/Q3 (I assume the new A4 will also be locked down).

- Yes, you can mirror while the car is still, but so far no one has shared a DIY solution to unlock VIM.

- This is with all MMI for this gen - with or without Nav

My car is the Audi Q3 2016 with the MMI Navigation basic installed.

So that's mean than I can't activate the Video in Motion so far, right? (noooooooooo !!!!!!)

wouldn't the emanuele dongle work on the q3 with nav?

i have had 0 issues with my VIM unlocked with the emanuelle dongle..

and there is no evidence from anyone that the dealer can reverse the VIM unlock during a service...

i have also succesfully VIM unlocked an rs7 the old school way with VCDS

I did a search and it was the Kufatec version of this tech that was problematic per one poster. My bad, and apologies to the Emanuele peeps.

However, I (like many) have tried to VCDS on the A3/S3 with zero success. My 2015 Q7 VIM unlock still took via VAGCOM, but no DIY efforts have been reported working for A3/S3.
