Hi PaperLion,
Nope, that wasn't me.
My Golf R is the Pearl White Metallic color.
I am rarely in that area.
Nice to know there are a few others in San Antonio.
At some point (as in when the 2019 RS3s actually get here) maybe all of us could meet up.
Cheers,
Tom

I like the idea. There is a guy named Daniel that has a 2017 catalunya red RS3. I actually checked out his car before ordering. Would be cool to have a small crew at cars and coffee.

I was in a rush so I couldn't, but there definitely arent a lot of these cars down here and ive never seen an RS in the wild. Would be great to line them up soon. They are on the way now at least.
The R I saw was a nice deep red and he took off quick from the light we were at, but he let me pull past him and i gave a thumbs up out the window. Quick little thing!

BaylorGuy and PaperLion,
A meet up with our cars would definitely be something I would go for.
Once we have the cars we can plan something, maybe meet for a meal or go to a local Cruise Night / Cars and Coffee.
It will be fun to share our experiences with the cars and get to know each other.
Yes, the Golf R is "quick" and nimble, a great car for driving around the city and in the twisties.
Not a Grand Touring machine but probably acceptable for longer trips.
I'm going to miss the utility of it as a hatchback with the rear seats folded down, but methinks the qualities of the RS3 will more than make up for that.
Terry,
Thanks for posting the photo of me picking up the Golf R.
I am going to have to learn how to post photos on this website before the RS3 arrives as I will want to share photos with this gang.
Cheers,
Tom
