Check out Steve Schwing's Mount (Modshack), its awesome. I had one of these in my TT and was really glad he released a new version for the 8V A3. I just bought the one with the nuvi ball and used the old phone mount from the TT but it looks like he sells whole sets also.

I use one of the cup holders to put in a suction cup wireless charger phone holder. Works like a charm and isn't in the way. Don't really like having the phone in the center vent area.

I went with the ProClip dash mount and iPhone 6 holder. It's the best implementation in my opinion. Very clean and functional.

I wonder how secure this would be as it looks like its pretty shallow mount when the phone is placed in. More reason for wanting to get a 3D printer!

This is the best looking setup I've seen. Very clean and nothing clipped to the dash. Love that you linked smile.amazon.com too!!

I'm going to try something similar (though without the wirelss charging as my phone doesnt support).
