Hey,

I can't work out why my iPhone stops playing music (seemingly at random) through the Audi MMI. I use a cable to attach the iPhone to the docking unit in the armrest.

The music will play ok for maybe 3-5 tracks then it will just stop at the track change.

All the music is stored locally on the iPhone, I don't use streaming stuff.

I listen to a lot of albums with continuous tracks so its a bit of a pain at the moment.

Any advice would be welcomed.

PS, its an iPhone 6, iOS11.

mine does the same thing. quite annoying to say the least. i have even restored my phone to factory settings and put all my music back on to see if it was a weird update thing.

Have you tried to reboot the MMI system? Also have you tried a different cable? One last thing have you tired to use bluetooth? If you have does it do the same thing? Also may want to upgrade to a newer version of IOS as well.

Yes, i have reset the MMI, updated the firmware on said MMI and have updated to the latest iOS, nothing changes. I have just learned to deal with it which is a real bummer.

have you tried just using bluetooth? Does it do the same thing?
