My second yelow Audi
So back in 1999 I purchased my first Audi, a 99.5 A4 1.8TQ with a 5 speed manual and a whopping 150hp. I like bright and unusual colors on my cars so I special ordered it in the "cool shades" color of brilliant yellow. It was a great car and I owned it for 6 years. Since then I have purchased 3 other Audis and had good luck with all of them. I had been considering a new S3 for a few years but was leaning against it because I still enjoy the stick but I found that requirement softening over the last few years. A month and a half ago I saw a new S3 on the road with all the refinements and decided I needed to look into one. I was surprised to see that Vegas Yellow, a former $3500 Audi exclusive color, was now a no cost option. That sealed the deal. I had my dealer go searching and last week I took delivery of this new S3. I love it. It is a blast to drive and loves to run. It is just the right size, just like my old A4, but now with 292hp! Wow! And I love the color. Looking forward to many years of happy ownership with my new S3.

I nearly ordered a Vegas Yellow TT but couldn't get there interior color I wanted so went for red. But that yellow.....it's sooooooo cool. Your old A4 was such a "wild" color back then, kind of like the yellow Volvo 850's that were for a short time......such a bold statement!
Congratulations on your new S3, it looks fantastic and you will love the performance!

Very appropriate and cool upgrade. Congrats!
I wanted to go Imola Yellow for my wife's B5 S4, but she rejected that and we ended up with silver.Nice color still, less pop.

Thanks!
Farmer, the old brilliant yellow had some green in it giving it a little bit of lime hue. I like the Vegas much better. It has a little Orange in it. Looks like the Porsche Speed Yellow. very sharp. I got the sport seat option too and I'm loving the seats.

awesome choice.
My first Audi was also yellow - an '00 S4 that I got September of 2000 as I recall (Imola yellow). Unfortunately yellow isn't offered outside of exclusive, on the new one or I might have been tempted

I'd have liked Yellow too, but not in the cards this time around. I had 2 B5's a B6 and the 8V and 150hp was still pretty good back then! I miss the stick option (only my 2nd daily out of 35 cars that's not a stick - I must be getting old!)

looking good. post some more pix!
My first Audi was an imola b5 s4. At the time back then I was set on Nogaro/Norgaro. But when I saw them side by side I went for Imola. I still miss that car... ;(
I think its great Audi is offering the 'cool' colors again. But this time around I wanted White to help hide imperfections in the paint in the long run. I know that I will miss my White S3 if I sold it- it gives me the same happy feelings I got from the b5. I'll be moving international though for work soon and it is becoming a sad reality... It just does not make much sense to pay to store my car for a couple years while it gets no use.

Awesome - love that you had TWO yellow audis.
Crazy that the 1.8t motor had 50% of the horsepower and the A4 probably had 800-1000 lbs on the S3.
Cool.
Congrats!
