Neuspeed ECU vs. APR ECU Upgrade
My friend and I were looking to get this upgrade done in our cars. I have the 2015 Audi A3 2.0T and he has the 2016 VW Golf GTI with the 2.0T.
I was looking at the APR 2.0 TSI/TFSI Gen3 ECU Upgrade for the MQB Platform which from their site appears to be a gain of 87hp. This is more expensive and you have to take it to a authorized dealer to install, which is okay. Maybe they will Dyno it too.
I was also looking at the NEUSPEED Power Module which is cheaper, but not quite as impressive with 35hp increase. I know this is a self install.
Are there any other alternatives we should be considering? Or maybe one of the above that we shouldn't be considering?
Thanks

I'm APR stage 2.0+ tuned, TCU DSG/stronic tuned, Carbonio intake....42 draft downpipe, exhaust and catch can....among other things
I have some friends with GTI's and a couple A3's with Unitronic, and AWE tunes. I won't speak for them.....but I'm very happy with my set up. And my happiness widens with the gap....LOL!
On another front..I've been driving to Jacksonville a lot lately...with all the work and retunes...I get 35 mpg average on the highway...not bad....Considering I had a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 that got 22 mpg if you were driving with the wind (17 Mpg all around average)....And the Audi is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more fun! So I figure I'm spending my old gas money on upgrades for the Audi!

Smooth sounds like an awesome setup! Wish I had the stones to get that kind of work done while still under warranty.
Regarding the OPs question, I'd note that with a true ecu tune you risk voiding your warranty (as I understand it there is no such thing as an undetectable tune nowadays), while the neuspeed you can remove with absolutely no trace.
Now on the flips idea a neuspeed is basically just tricking some boost sensors (correct me if I'm wrong here) whIle anow ecu tune is much more robust and comprehensive.
Basically, if you don't care about warranty I'd imagine the tune is 100% worth the money. Neuspeed only for the undetectability...
Just one man's opinion though!
