Hey guys,

We are all of the same Mind-Set I think for sure.
I'm just holding tough until one day I actually hear or get the call regarding mine.

I would love to actually read a new owners comments on receiving his or her 2019 RS3.

And see some pictures and of for a really good In-Depth video.

Terry

Bear in mind that at least some of those cars listed were customer cars. Having been dumpster diving on this stuff through the weekend, just because they showed up on autotrader or dealer sites didn’t necessarily mean they were available. Or they were customer cars who later backed out.

I would bet for sure they are quite a few "back outs" at dealers, good point

Once the cars are assigned VIN #, the dealers have to list them on their website. Doesn't mean the car is actually on the continent, or even available for sale.
Those of us who ordered 2017/2018s went through the same thing. All the dealers listed our cars with VIN# on their websites weeks before the cars even rolled off the ship.

I feel your pain. I consider myself lucky to walk into a dealership on Apr 9th (with whom I do have a very long relationship) and find a car that was almost an exact match for what I would have ordered from the factory. It is Nardo, Tech pack, Black Optics, Red calipers, RS Design pack, Sport exhaust, Anthracite rotor wheels, and Carbon inlays. The only thing I may have skipped on a custom order would be the carbon inlays. It was destined for another dealer in Canada but my dealer was able to transfer it. The next week, it was already at port in Halifax and is now in transit to the dealer in Toronto. I would be very upset myself if I was waiting since late last year for a similar, factory-ordered car, and there were un-sold allocated cars trickling in.

I'm on a boat! Just got word my car left Deutschland on the 24th... anybody know how long a container ship takes to get to Houston? I think the estimate is May 20th or so now.

Congrats! That estimate sounds a little conservative to me. My car shipped on Mar 20 and arrived at port Apr 23, but that’s in San Diego, so had to go all the way through the Panama Canal. I’d expect yours to be quite a bit shorter than that.

This is the best news I've heard in a while

Fingers crossed!
