Exactly my point -- hence not waiting for a 2020 or whenever they do an RS3 refresh. Fingers crossed on actual delivery of a 2019

The point is the 2020 is NOT a refresh....it will be an all-new car on a revamped platform with completely new design and and a 100% interior overhaul. At that point the residual value of the 2019 will really take another hit, as it's no longer the "current" model. All the timing of future deliveries and launches is speculation, but we when the car itself is in the last year of the current design. Test mule cars have picture already on the internet, and the new Q3 offers an idea on what we will see inside to a certain extent. Then we can start the super-big waiting list for this latest model all over again. Ridiculous. Audi has lost sales left and right over this.

but to that point will the new model.... actually be better? heavier? 5 cylinder survive? loaded up with even more tech (negative to some)? bigger car? etc...plus will the RS3 actually launch with the A3 release or is it couple years out

Guys,

All excellent points and things for us interested in the RS3 for 2019 and or maybe the 2020.
I think what is going to be the determining factor to some of us is actually when will we actually take delivery of ordered 2019 RS3 cars ???
And from what I have so far heard from the G/M at the Audi dealership I ordered from Build & Delivery dates are way at the end of this year.
That's if nothing actually changes at Audi.
I might be able to post some additional (Helpful) information once my G/M attends the Audi meeting in February.

I agree, they did a great job with the packaging in 2019.

I've noticed Audi is presenting the engine with the carbon fiber cover in pictures for the 2019 RS3 page, yet doesn't mention them in the options list. My guess is that it's now standard.

My dealer put my order in the queue yesterday, he said it's usually a business day or two before we get build/delivery etas, as far as he knew there wasn't a production hold.

Juggernaut,

If you have the opportunity please drop back by this thread and do an up-date once you hear back from your dealer.
Also, if you don't mind posting let us know who at your dealership is providing you the information ?
I doubt you want to post the person's name but perhaps just their Official-Title and how long have they been at that Dealership ?

Thanks,
Terry

Sure, will do. It's one of the Audi Brand Specialists at the Audi Exchange, they're a pretty big high volume dealer, biggest in Chicago. He's been there several years and is quite knowledgeable. That said, I won't believe it until the order locks and I get some dates.
