Ive been tslking to the GSM at my dealership and they ordered a 19 RS3 on Jan 8 and its showing delivery date of May 18. I talked to them on the 10th about build and order times and they said that it should still only be the 90-120 day wait from what they are seeing. I haven't ordered one yet and reading what yall are saying its making me want to hold off and wait a little longer (planned on placing my order within the month)

Let's try to stay in touch if you don't mind and see as well as closely follow what the Real-Build & Delivery FACTS turn out to be.
I do know my guy is not going to jerk around with guessing and he is not giving a personal opinion.
The information I have posted came to him from Audi when he actually (Technically) placed my order.
I don't mind at all sharing the Facts so maybe some of us on here will also do the same, post the Facts and skip personal opinions.

Stay-Tuned buddy as I think this is the place to be if you wish to know and read the FACTS !!!

Yeah seeing these build dates irls really making me think about the 2020. Some things id want to see on the 2020 model would be the LED matrix lights, or atleast that option, as well as the wheel options that the EU market has that we dont have available here. But most of all, they better not do away with the retractable MMI screen lol.

Also they really need a sunroof delete option, screw that heavy thing, we need the carbon roof on the rs3, and for sure get rid of that STUPID screen on the dash, retractable for sure, better yet integrate it. It looks horrible just "stuck" on there

I'd love to see the matrix headlights, but they are not legal in the US yet.

Crazy to think how behind the USA seems to be under lighting regulations when compared to some other countries. I'd love to see those Matrix LED lights over here soon. Reducing the glare for oncoming drivers. Would cause less of a headache for us all.

Just like everyone else, I placed an order for a 2019 RS3... back on November 6th. I see a mix of facts and speculation in this thread. Personally, no matter the relationship, I am always skeptical of what I hear at the dealership level. That is why I rely on a contact at Audi of America for the latest.

This is a fact... the entire RS3 production line has not been active for months and is not active right now. Unless things have changed in the past 2 days... anyone getting promised a build date needs to be cautious, regardless of how soon or how far off. If the production line is not open, ANY production estimation is going to be bunk.

What you need to do is... get a screen shot from your dealership representative showing the key dates and milestone for your order. Pleas see mine below for my current status. Note the hold dates on the bottom right and type of hold (launch), meaning precisely 0 RS3s are being produced right now. For months the guidance from folks above the dealership has been production will ramp up end of January or February of 2019. I find this much more feasible than EOY 2019. There would be no reason for Audi to delay production that long, and it would also make the MY 2019 pointless. If i were a better man, based on what I have heard directly from Audi of America... production will ramp up sometime during Q1 of 2019.

My two cents...

Baylorguy,

I agree with exactly what you have said above ^^^
I'm dealing with the G/M and as you have said he is also saying there are No-Audi RS3 cars being built right now !!!

What would be of interest would be for someone that actually knows what is really going on with Audi as well as the other European manufacturers ???
Something has happened that's for sure but when I have Googled I really don't see anything.
And truthfully I don't think the Audi Dealers know what's going on.

Agree also, my dealer has said it'll be late Jan or Feb before they find out any details.
