Noise when shifting to D/S

Noise when shifting to D/S
I have a 2016 S3 with 800 miles on it and had 2 questions. When I shift from R or P to D/S I can hear 2 "beeps" every time I shift into D/S. It almost sounds like a pump priming?!? The noises are quick, only last around a second but I never noticed them until today. It is easier to hear with the windows down and I can occasionally hear it again when I am rolling at idle down my driveway.
Also, when I put my car in park sometimes it will roll a good 3-4 inches before the parking gear engages. Is this normal?

If you don't have the parking brake engaged, that is certainly possible. However, you shouldn't really be relying solely on Park setting of the transmission - always use the parking brake or you risk damaging the transmission.
