Default Now Available: AWE Tuning 8V S3 Valve Simulators

S3 owners have asked for a delete for the soft codes that come with valve disconnection. So… here we go.

The AWE Tuning Electronic Valve Simulators for the Audi S3 with an AWE Tuning Track Edition Exhaust are simple devices that fit right into the factory harness in place of the exhaust valves, eliminating the generation of a 'soft code'.

Why do you need them?

Sound perfection comes standard thanks to AWE Tuning SwitchPath™ Technology, which utilizes the S3's factory valving. But when it comes to the Track Edition versions of these systems, these valves are eliminated, the ECU stores what is known as a ‘soft code’ in the system. While this code is not harmful, who wants it? Enter the AWE Tuning Electronic Valve Simulators.

These simple devices plug right into the factory harness in place of the exhaust valves, and prevent any code from ever being stored in the ECU due to the removal of the exhaust valves. Plug them in. Start it up. Drive away. That simple. Comes as a set of two.

Highlights:
  • Simple, yet effective design
  • Direct plug-in to factory harness.
  • Eliminates pesky 'soft codes' generated by the absence of the factory electronic valves

Pricing for the AWE Tuning Valve Simulators can be found on the AWE Tuning S3 Exhaust Suite web page.

Albeit that is an option, it's typically best to be safe than sorry. The simulators are easy to install and offer modularity without the potential for malfunction or risk of error in coding.
