I can tell you that in (General) and certainly as with anything there are ALWAYS exceptions.

So here goes ...........

You run the CRAP out of a High-Performance-Production engine and take it to the Red-Line FREQUENTLY ???
My (Opinion) based on my years of owning so many cars/vehicles since back in 1966 they are going to use oil like it or not.

So maybe you are right but you can also be wrong.
You know all that really matters is that (Your-Happy) and if you are that's great.

I can say that my wife's previous A3 was driven pretty hard after a break in per the manual and it didn't use a drop of oil between regular services. Her current A4 is the same after about 11,000 miles. My last S5 didn't use a drop and my current S7 at 39,000 miles also has not used any oil. I am pretty hard on my cars but I service them exactly to the Audi schedule.

There's a VAGIT (vag cars) Israeli forum which I read a lot about the oil consumption. Can't tell what's the percentage of cars that does or doesn't consumes a lot of oil and can't tell what's the reasons for the oil consumption (Can weather be a factor? because it is hot like hell here during most of the year).
I've never heard any complains about oil consumption in other brands. I had many non sport cars before which I always have been hard on the throttle paddle with no oil consumption.

I'm sure you're all having great experience with the lake of oil consumption but each one with his experience.

I'm from Italy. I own a secon hand RS3 2017s FL 400 BHP. My problem is obviously oil consumption. I'd have a question, if you please let me know if I'm wrong or not. One year of driving and 10 thousand miles done. So I had to put in 2 kilos of engine oil. So what do you really think about that? Thank you in advance, Angelo IT.

Default Hopefully I won’t have to

I’ve just purchased a 2018 Rs3 which has been heavily modified 635bhp goes well however oil light came on today so have topped it up. Looks like I will have to check it regularly. My golf R used around a litre between services. A little concerned as only had the car a couple of weeks

2019 Audi RS 3 now at 33,581 miles of which 24,178 miles have been fast country back road runs averaging 3 days a week weather permitting. My oil consumption has been 1/2 cup of oil since new and is checked prior to each back roads run, typically showing very little consumption.

The RS 3 is parked in our heated (65°F) garage, so the engine is 'warm' at start-up and is driven 35 miles to our back road runs location, so no actual use as a 'COLD ENGINE' and this has been how I've run our vehicles for the past 64 years, with typically the same oil consumption results in many different high performance vehicles. FWIW.
