Post-Facelift Flat-Bottom Steering Wheel Guide....
With the A3, S3 and RS3 receiving a facelift it has opened up a whole new line of flat-bottom steering wheels for all the A3, S3 and RS3 models, pre and post-facelift!
These are steering wheels which are prepared to be plug and play with the proper A3, S3, RS3 multi-function controls, guaranteed to fit the first time and work perfectly right out of the box. One added bonus is the post-facelift steering wheels add a fully functional track backwards and forwards button around the right hand roller wheel!
Note that pricing may change with these specific wheels based on availability of them with A3, S3, RS3 controls. Certain wheels may require being built with the proper multi-function controls which can increase pricing.
Pricing is for steering wheels without an airbag included. All pre-facelift models and all post-facelift models with the 4 spoke steering wheel with trapezoidal airbag will require an airbag for installation. The post-facelift models with a round airbag fitted can reuse their airbag:

For all pre-facelift models the phone function and return will not function. All other buttons will function as they do with the original steering wheel and the track backwards and forwards buttons are an added function!

Many wheels will be in stock in the US, however with so many choices and styles some packages may need to be ordered in. Time frames for delivery on out of stock steering wheels will range from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the style wheel.

With some very gentle work a damage free method of swapping badges on the all-leather wheel offerings has been perfected. This allows you to match the proper badging for your application so you don't have to get that sinking feeling when you see mismatched badges in the interior...

After some testing and work the list of TT and TTS Mk3 flat-bottom wheels are available for the post-facelift 8V models that have the virtual cockpit.
Note that these are thicker and more contoured than even the stock flat-bottom wheels found on all the post-facelift 8V models. The wheels are also a bit cleaner and sportier looking with the aluminum trimming, plus there is the option for a leather trimmed airbag for a really upscale appearance.

Several people have expressed interest in more details on the new RS extended metal shift paddles.
Shift Paddles | Extended
- The extended paddles are the largest top and bottom. Paddles are plastic and feature illuminated "+" and "-" icons. These are bolt-on for 8V post-facelift steering wheels with round airbags that have paddles from the factory.
Shift Paddles | RS Extended - In Stock!
- The RS extended paddles are taller on the top than standard paddles. Paddles are not illuminated, but feature a cutout in the metal upper area plus a more solid and positive shifting action due to being metal instead of plastic. These are bolt-on for 8v post-facelift steering wheels with round airbags that have paddles from the factory.
Shift Paddles | Standard
- The standard shift paddles are the smallest of the three and are factory fitted to A and S models. Paddles are plastic and feature illuminated "+" and "-" icons.
The newest addition with the RS extended paddle is interesting to see Audi go a in-between in sizing, but just as they did with the 1st generation R8 GT they went back to a metal shift paddles which does have a more solid, positive action when clicked. These are bolt-on for 8v post-facelift steering wheels with round airbags that have paddles from the factory.
Shift Paddles | Standard
- The standard shift paddles are the smallest of the three and are factory fitted to A and S models. Paddles are plastic and feature illuminated "+" and "-" icons.
The newest addition with the RS extended paddle is interesting to see Audi go a in-between in sizing, but just as they did with the 1st generation R8 GT they went back to a metal shift paddles which does have a more solid, positive action when clicked.
