OMG!!! I finally got a honest answer from my contact at my Audi dealership. After what feels like him giving me the run around, telling me that the RS3 has finally been released and now waiting on carrier details (Jun 19), then stating that there is nothing EPA related and that the car was still on track to be released late June or early July (Jun 26). Then on July 10 he emails me saying that the car is ready to be released "any day now" and that he'll let me know once he receives more info.
And now after calling him out on the crap and asking for any open allocations on the 2018's, he replies:
"On the 2018's a handful that went to the Southern region were released. Of the 5 sold orders I submitted in April, only 2 were allocated. The only hopes of getting more this year is if AOA gets another production allocation for MY2018. Since the US market is actually the 1st market to receive the new motor RS3, the rest of their global markets are now in line for their allocations. Being a low volume, high demand vehicle unfortunately is the issue at hand.
On the MY2017 I'm clueless and frustrated at the lack of communication of what the real reason is for the holdup.
I wish I had something to share but I'm just as much in the dark as you are."
I'm so fed up now, this is complete crap! Please excuse my french, I think i've used that word 3 times now in the post.

Not having allocations is frustrating, not knowing whats happening with your allocation is unacceptable. My SR tried to convince me that there have been no allocations and he had another thing coming. I have no idea how I'm putting up with this.

i meant the SR told me there were no 2018 or 2017 releases across America!

Probably bailing on my 2017 RS3.
Just put a deposit down on a 2018 RS3 (Mythos black) that is at port and hopefully arrives this week.

Not ready to bail on my '17. Surprised there was an unclaimed '18. The guy that got the S5 SB has me considering at least looking at the S4. Didn't think about it till now.
