Logged in to MyAudi and the only update you can do is the Nav Maps.

I had a 2014 Mini Cooper with a Harmon Kardon system, I think it sounded 10x's better than the B&O in my new S3.

I picked up my 17' S3 up last Monday, and the BASS, sucks. The left rear cover rattles like crazy the bass isn't even half way up, and the volume isn't even up 1/4 of the way. I don't like to blast my music. I'm taking in in for service hopefully this week.

You doubt was correct. I installed the available Map update this morning. The Navigation database is now at version 0060 (was 0057) but the MMI Software version remains at 0906. So, I'll have a chat with my dealer next week.

I pick up tomorrow. What version is the current version and where do I check f/w version? Might as well have them do it right then before I leave. I'm assuming this is a quick and easy thing for them to do, yes?

The most recent MMI software version is: 1110 (mine has 0906)
The most recent Nav database version is: 0060 (mine had an earlier one, but this update is available in MyAudi and can installed yourself via an SD card)

To find the version info… (p. 247 in the owner's manual for reference)

Select: [MENU] button > Settings > left control button >System maintenance

Version information: information on the MMI software version and the navigation database* software version is displayed.

I want to clear up any confusion. The Subwoofer control everyone is talking about. The ones who have the subwoofer control, do you have the standard audio system or the upgraded B&O?

I mentioned it it to my sales guy and he said “ the subwoofer control is only in the Audi branded system, not the upgraded Bang & Olufsen system.”

He is correct. My '17 S3 with B&O does not have subwoofer control. On a side note, I find the system to sound fantastic and I have had no rattles at all. I have the bass up around 75% for the record. I've had overall volume up beyond 50% as well.

There might definitely be something wrong with your car's audio system because there's no way that Harmon system in the Mini would be 10x better.

But the B&O has a subwoofer, So I’m somewhat confused. I just wanted to be extra clear that the B&O doesn’t have subwoofer control on an outdated MMI system or doesn’t have it at all, and it was missing on everyone’s standard audio system.

That's false. It's supposed to be there. It always has been. And gets restored with an mmi update.

For reference, 2018 RS3 here with B&O, software is 1110 and I have the subwoofer control.
