Just running an errand and I'm hearing engines rev from an E36 M3 coupe and ironically a white B8 S4 on the other side. I shot off the line like a bat out of hell and probably surprised both of them. After pulling well ahead of them I let off the gas and began cruising. M3 guy gave a thumbs up. Not sure what the S4 guy was doing but it had the raspiest and crappy sounding exhaust I've heard, certainly not stock like mine was which sounded much better. It's funny because it almost reminded me of my older E46 M3's exhaust. Anyone that has ever driven or been around those know what I mean.

While sitting at the light the dude in the M3 kept looking back at my car probably wondering what the hell model it was. LOL. I must say that I've not seen many S3s in my area and that's just fine with me!

A decade ago I borrowed my brother's 350Z and that was a boy racer magnet. I was too much for me to handle at times. When I got Infiniti G37s I occasional encounter boy racers. All cars since are boy racers free and I like to stay that way.

I currently own a 2016 STI... it's a great car but I'm an old dude... 40's. I'm hoping the RS3 will attract less boy racers than the STI but it doesn't sould like it.

Haha, same here I'm an old dude too. Driving a Subie or Evo certainly makes one feel young at heart! Well as for the RS3 it will undoubtedly grab attention but not sure how many will actually challenge you, but you know how it is. Anyone knowledgeable about cars or wanting to show off what they've got, there's no way around it, unfortunately. I mean hell I remember soccer moms practically wanting to race in their X5s or similar. Pathetic.

Yes, it does. All the time.
Mine is black, tinted, and lowered, w/ res delete. That seems to increase the effect.

Every single time, 'vettes, mustangs, stis, bimmers I always get that look, "what the hell is that?"

Didn't think of this before I bought the car, but now it's my favorite "option".

I got pulled over the first week I owned the S3 back in '15, the officer came up to the window, he looked subtly shocked and said something I've never heard as first words from 5-0, "how old are you?". I laughed, he laughed. "Its an Audi." Somehow thinking that would help him make sense of the situation.

Still gave me a ticket though.

You want to talk about attracting boy racers. Try driving around in an R8 V10 Plus. They come out of the woodwork!
