Default S3 and shuffle

My wife has a new S3. Wanted tunes in it but didn't want to use her smart phone or spring for a $150 i pod. So I bought a $50 i pod shuffle, got the $67 connector from Audi, downloaded her tunes to the shuffle and installed in car. Worked great...until the next day, deader than a stone. Switched the shuffle on and off and worked...until the next time she tried to turn on. So, not sure what I doing right or wrong. Suggestions? I have an i pod in my RS 5 and has not missed a beat for over two years.

MMI crashes the music app at times on my iPhone about once or twice per month I have to reboot the phone.

If she isn't disconnecting and reconnection a lot, not sure what else could be going on unless you bought a non-OEM cable.

I highly second the SD card option or even better, copy them to the hard drive, you get great functionality, album art, album browsing, etc.

Like others said, just get a $20 SD card. The MMI has a shuffle feature.

Not sure I understand the "shuffle feature" of the MMI. The MMI manual does reference using the I pod shuffle so I assume it should work. Just don't know why it does work and then does not.

You are right, it should work for sure. I recommend that she detach it before she gets out of the car, a PITA I know, but that should solve the problem.

Yes, we have decided that is the best solution, even as said a PITA.
