Does seem a bit pricey for a section of pipe. See somewhere that it's a 45 minute install. But don't know if that's from Audi mechanics or a DIY flunkee. One of our new S3 forum members sent me a video of a car sporting this product but it was filmed in a parking garage and hard to tell exactly how much the sound changed.

Hmmm.

I might be in the major minority here, but I think the exhaust note is perfect in sport mode.

(Although I bet the RS3 sounds like love.)

I finally did this mod over the weekend. The good news is that there is plenty of room to cut the pipe w/ a 6" blade on a sawzall. Took me an hour in total. Very easy. Love the sound.

Ordered the part through my local dealer, Audi Marin. Told me the part ships from Canada and would take about a week, and that they'll call me to arrange for installation once it arrives. Really excited. I so wanted to make my S3 have a bit more growl but I wasn't planning on voiding the warranty or AudiCare (prepaid up to the 35,000 miles service). Having an official part like this that maintains the warranty is awesome, and the feedback on the sound I've read over the internet is hugely positive.
