TPMS False Alert
TPMS triggered last week (left rear). Pulled over put in a few PSI in all the tyres and reset. Drove home all fine. Triggered again yesterday, today the local tyre centre says the pressures are fine?
Is this indirect ABS based TMPS system have any history go failing ? Is there more to the MMI reset procedure ? one comment I read said it can take several resets to settle it down! |

It is 2016 S3 (8V). The valve stems are rubber.

These ABS based TPMS systems rely on the ABS sensors on each hub. If the sensor fails, you should also get some type of brake warning as well. Did you tried to see if the car left any error codes by reading the OBD port? Since you didn't mention any of that, I would assumed that no other warnings had popped up. Then the other question is, are all four of your tires the same? Size-wise, wear-wise, etc? If all the tires are the same (rolling diameters), then I would do the following:
