Default Urgent help for Wheels on RS3

Hey guys,

To make a long story short. I ordered Tire rack Winter Pirelli Sottozero 3's from Tire rack which I was going to have installed yesterday at a local tire retailer. They call and claim the wheels need a special tool to take the wheels off; state it looks like a black tweezer to take it off. They claim to have looked throughout the trunk bay and couldn't find it. I found it this morning. I'm now worried that perhaps they may need something else and perhaps that wasn't the only thing they were looking for. I know on other audi's sometimes the wheelcaps require a P shapped prong tool to take the center cap. I also wondered if you guys know if our car comes with wheel locks. I dont' believe it does, but I certainly can't find an adapter/prong tool anywhere in the car. Scheduled to have it looked at again this evening, just hope to avoid a long trip there and back if I'm missing something. Thanks!

The plastic wheel caps has a u-shaped $3 tool - it should be with the tire repair kit in the trunk, or in the glove compartment. If your wheels came with a locking bolt, there would also be an adapter in the same tire repair kit area.

This is the only thing I see in the back apart from the battery and tire patch kit which is sealed. Is there anything else that should be in the car?

To figure out if you have locking lug bolts.... If you use that tool to remove all five plastic caps on one wheel, you are looking to see if one lug bolt is round. The adapter fits over the round lug bolt.

Mine was tucked in with the tow eyelet. Check the black tool wrap in your trunk.

Yes, that is the tool for pulling the plastic caps off the wheel lugs. Push on, pull off. Easy Peazy.
