Default VIM (Video In Motion) Unlock - Dongle That Works!
Hi!

I wanted to start a new thread as I recently found a dongle online that was able to unlock my VIM for my USA 2015 A3! It only took a coupe of minutes to do and it was SUPER easy. I highly recommend it! Note that the dongle IS locked to one vehicle and can't be share.

Are you the same person in the other thread? Have you already tested your dongle on another A3/S3 to see if it unlocked VIM?

Yes and it doesn't work. The dongle only works for ONE A3. You can't share it. But it does work if you buy it

so you just plug it in and its done? you dont have to drive with it plugged in right?

You plug it in once, some lights flash and the MMI screen goes up and down. Then, you can throw the dongle away. Insert DVD and drive away.

So the dongle is pretty much useless after you tried it once? What happens when you try to do it on another A3/S3.

Can you take pictures of the device.

You plug it in, turn on the car, wait for the MMI to restart and thats it. Then unplug the device and you are good to go! So easy and quick.
