whining sound in A3

i have a 2007 A3,1.6./5speed and its making a whining noise[sounds like a turbo whine] and i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what it could be,it seems to whine under acceleration

Probably alternator or battery wearing out causing higher alternator load. Check output at the battery with a multimeter. Should be around 14.3v with the car running, then test the battery if you have a tester, or have it tested.
