2006 Audi A3 vibration issue
I've been driving my A3 for about 5 months now and this shaking/vibration is getting a little out of hand.
I get up to speeds of about 60-80 mph and the whole car shakes.
I have taken the car to the dealership and they diagnosed the issue as being cupped tired and recommended that i do an alignment and get new tires (they quoted me about 800 USD)(weak diagnosis in my opinion)
Instead i went to a tire shop, got new tires and did an alignment. Noticed a slight difference in the severity of the vibrations. Still pretty bad.
I've been looking at other forums talking about maybe replacing the flywheel/flexplate.
Is that all i have to do?
Just looking for more insight.

I work at a tire shop and would recommend going and getting your tires rebalanced. They're suppose to do it when they put on the car but it's usually free to do rebalanced with the company you got the tires from. Better to double check because that is one of the main causes of vibrations

This might be a late reply that might not be seen....
Rebalance might help, but I was told be a reputable tire shop that our cars have an issue with uneven wear ( my passenger front tired is much more worn than drivers side ) somehow, and that causes the weird vibration at highway speed. I also suffered with this recently, I rebalanced and rotated to the rear. I barely feel the vibration now... usually when I haven't driven for a long drive.
Hope this leads to some help.
