2009 audi a3 blower with climate control

what is causing the blower to work only when car engine is cold, tried all ***** and buttons, will only start working again when cold ?

I was having the same issue, now it's gotten worse so it almost never works, would really like to know what's the issue before taking to an expert and replacing $400 blower unit plus labor.

will keep you informed, i have been told this model / year has a thermal resistor that gives the same stop /start fault. these are about $20 and is under the dash board
