Hey Guys. I just got a new Audi A3 and I would like to remove the front license plate holder. I am afraid I am going to break the front grill. Can someone advise me on how I can remove the plate holder?

I should probably clarify. I am from the US so I have an American license plate holder.

OK so I decided to go to the dealership because I didn't want to break anything. There are no screws that need to be removed to take off the front pate. Basically there are two tabs on top, and four on the bottom. Press down on the top tabs and pull it off the grill towards you. It will pop right out. Leave the top dangling, and start popping out the bottom tabs one by one. They are all plastic so they may break. Hopefully this helps anyone trying to get the plate off. If anyone needs a picture of the back of the plate holder, let me know and I'll post it.

I realize this thread is old ... but if you still have the bracket, would you take a photo of the back? My 2017 A3 came with the bracket but only two screw holes on top and they are misaligned. I want to drill 4 proper holes but not while the bracket is on the car. I can't get the damn thing off no matter what I do and the dealer was zero help.
