A3 hatch back flasher location
I have a 2011 A3 S line TDI hatchback and my question is I'm trying to locate the flasher relay. I can hear it clicking but cant seen to find the location. Here's what I've done so far. I pulled the bottom panel just above the brake peddles off and none of those are it and pulled the center bezel off the emergency flasher button and that was just a tiny micro switch behind the switch. There has been a bunch of people tell me its behind the flasher but rest assured its not. I think its just above the radio but not sure. can anyone chime in an fill in the blanks? Thanks for the help.

Flasher
I’ve been having issues with the waning light for the left rear signal light but the signals are working fine. I even changed out all the bulbs to eleminate the possibility of a bad bulb maybe having to much resistance and throwing the warning light. Cleaned all contacts and I also added a chases ground soldered right to the ground tracers on the tail light to eliminate a ground problem. After doing all that I noticed the arrow light on the dash was blinking twice as fast as the signal on the tail light so I figured that would be the next step to replace the flasher relay.
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the additional details. Probably the thing to do is after removing the cover below the steering wheel, trace the wiring from the turn signal stalk and see where it goes. Another thing you might do is check out a video that shows replacement of a turn signal relay on an Audi... and if you can't find one on the A3, try a different model. Audi is probably fairly consistent with placement of the relay from car to car.

I think turn signal and hazard light switch use the same relay. You need to pop out the radio and replace the hazard button/relay It's one unit.
