Thanks for the offer, but not sure how well silver seats will work with my black interior (are they really silver?). I hope I don't have to resort to one of those wedge cushions that old people with hip problems use.

Have you tried to slightly tilt the seat back? I have found this more comfortable for those of us above average height because it effectively raises the height of your knees without raising the entire seat.
