Driver Seat Too High
I've done some searching and haven't been able to find anyone else complaining about this, so here it goes... I have a 2012 A3 that I've owned for about 2 years. I like the car, but may end up selling it because I feel I sit too high up in it and my knee hits the steering column. I'm not a big guy at all (5'8") and the seat is all the way down (power seats) and the steering column is all the way up and out. Before I either sell the car or rip the seat out to see what I can do, is there any known way to get the standard, leather seat lower in the car?
Thanks.

I feel the same way about my 2016 A3. My old G37 coupe had a perfect driving position for me. I feel like the A3 is a little high, but i understand its a sedan first, and sporty second. I dont like how large and bulky the plastic around the steering column is. Im not tall either, but i have to stop from hitting my knees when braking or constantly move my seat depending on the sole of my shoes (sneakers vs dress shoes, etc).
Oh well, cant have it all at that price point!

I drive so few miles a year I'm seriously considering unloading it and looking for an older car that is better suited to me. I'm an amateur autocrosser (1974 Porsche 914) and I got the car that I thought would be a perfect compromise (2012 A3, S-Line, 6-Speed Manual, Panoramic Sunroof, Black Leather, White Exterior), but this driving position gets more irritating by the day. Took me a year to find that combo, but maybe an older S4 Avant with the 4.2 V8 (and all it's issues) is more in line with what I want.
