Default Headlights on warning buzzer stopped working..

Hi all

This is my first forum post. I have a 2002 A3 1.8, in really good condition, everything working, but recently the buzzer that alerts you when you open the drivers door with the headlights or sidelights on has stopped working (consequently I managed to get a flat battery..)

Any ideas where this part is located of if it can be fixed? I dont think there is a specific fuse for it. Any advice very welcome. As it's related to the door being opened/closed I wonder if it could be the sensor/switch in the hinge.

Cheers
