Misano Red vs Brilliant Red
I did a search but couldn't find too many pics of Misano Red A3's and the ones I did find didn't really look any different than the brilliant red. Anyone have any good pics of Misano and maybe ones that show how it differs from Brilliant? I'm familiar with Brilliant from the A4 and the s-line A3's at my dealers seem to all be Brilliant Red. I'm not sure which color red it was, but the original red on the early MK1 TT was a really nice red. Might have been Amulet. Then around 2004-ish they changed the red to something brighter and to me it cheapened it. Reminded me of cheap lipstick or something. That's what I'm trying to avoid. I have a 2008 brochure sitting here and the color swatches in it aren't helping. The swatch for Misano is not pearl at all and it looks just like the Brilliant reds I've seen in person. The swatch for Brilliant looks darker like it has a black base and it almost looks pearl!

Re: Misano Red vs Brilliant Red
Misano Red has a is more of a Ferrari orange-red and has a fine gold pearl. It really stands out. I get a surprising (to me) number of compliments. I've got only one picture but it doesn't show the color well.
Still shopping for wheels too.

Re: Misano Red vs Brilliant Red
dennisA4,
They look very similar in daylight, buy Misano Red looks orange at night. We ended up with Misano Red because they didn't have Brillant red in stock. I think they both look nice.
Good luck.

Misano has a pearl overlay that is very subtle. The pearl is a slightly lighter shade than the base
so the highlights really pop under some lighting conditions. Other times it looks like regular red. It has more colour flop than blrilliant red, which has a slightly more blue base and consistant shade under all lighting conditions. Misano is more yellow based.

https://forums.audiworld.com/c6a6/msgs/23353.phtml</a

Misano almost glows from within under virtually all lighting conditions. The potential downside is
if you plan to install body mods and don't have a paint shop that can match the colours. But I know you do On the other hand, it glows without being over the top. Here it is on a very dark and misty morning in Monterey:

And here it is in the sun:

Depends if you want that extra zip under all lighting conditions, or would prefer something a tad more understated. Since we have a lot of grey days in Winter, I would pick Misano - it's not that different from Brilliant in bright light - but at other times.....
